About Aerosense
Founded as a joint venture between Sony Group Inc. and ZMP Inc., Aerosense develops
made-in-Japan drone and cloud solutions for industrial applications. By integrating aircraft,
software, AI, and cloud technologies, we deliver practical solutions that make surveying,
inspection, logistics, and infrastructure operations safer, smarter, and more efficient.

Aerosense develops its own certified fixed-wing aircraft in Japan. Our VTOL drones enable
takeoff and landing in confined spaces without a runway while supporting efficient large-scale
inspections through autonomous flight.

Tokyo Treasure Island Project
The Tokyo Treasure Island Challenge Project utilizes the
Aerobo Wing AS-VT02K to address logistics and regional
challenges faced by Japan's remote islands.
The project supports the transportation of medical supplies and daily necessities while also using drones for aerial
photography of tourism resources.
Our goal is to support island communities and help build a more sustainable future through practical drone solutions.
Message from our President & CEO
I had experience in R&D and the commercialization of entertainment robots at Sony. When I
began leading a team as an engineer, I wanted to develop a new flying robot product that
people would be excited about. That vision became the origin of Aerosense.
We believed that making flying technology accessible and practical could help solve real-world challenges. With that goal in mind, Aerosense was established in 2015 through investments
from Sony and ZMP, a company specializing in robotics.
In 2020, we launched the Aerobo Wing, our VTOL aircraft developed from years of research
and engineering. It has enabled long-range inspections and surveying while expanding the
range of drone solutions we provide.
